The Jonathon Ross Show
Peaky Blinders

I attended a TV & Film Production Design Short Course at Central St Martins in November 2019. The above designs are projects undertaken during the course.
Peak Blinders Set Design Visual
Provided with the Peaky Blinders Series 1 Script and a scene describing the Shelby family home, I researched the interiors of the period and created the below visual and set design plan. Having not seen the series prior to doing this, I enjoyed learning about the culture and curating this interior.
Jonathan Ross Show Set Design - Scale Model
I wanted to create a more contemporary, luxurious and atmospheric ambience for The Jonathan Ross show, one that would make viewers and guests feel as though they're in a stylish bar on a Friday night, yet comfortably relaxed and at home too.
Taking inspiration from modern, speakeasy-style gin bars and using copper's versatility for textures and colour palette, I created a mood board and collected materials to create a 1:50 scale model. I drew thumbnail sketches to explore the camera and filming requirements of the set composition and then created a plan drawing of the complete design that would would fit within the TC1 studios.
